Damn am I busy. Don’t even have time to write a few sentences a week on here. All’s good though because soon I’ll have some more free time. Have a lot planned for that time. Maybe even a few new websites to start.

Time is getting sparse. It’s the busy time of year at work when it’s time to tighten up and finish all the jobs before the year ends. Don’t want to leave any to next year. Time is money you know and the faster you finish a contract the faster you get paid. Well needless to say the days are longer and time for anything other than work is next to nil. That’s OK though. Once I make through to December things slow to a crawl.

It’s been a while. To tell the truth there isn’t shit happening now that my daughter’s wedding is over. What a great time that was. She was the most beautiful bride to ever walk down the isle.
Well it’s Sunday and time to rest up for the last few hours before I hit the old grindstone for another week

I would like to welcome 92.239.87.100 and 80.192.159.10 to my ban filters and also to the Stop Forum Spam database. Both from the UK and both are Virgin Media IP’s. I wonder who that might be?

I have my forums locked down pretty tight. The spam filters had been doing the job up until yesterday. I had over 100 sign ups all from gMail accounts and every one one of them posted a large amount of spam. I did the unthinkable and banned gMail accounts altogether. If Google can’t do anything to stop spammers from using the service then Google gMail users are no longer welcome on my community.

I keep hearing that the xenforo name is trademarked. I can’t find it in any database. It would make sense that since it is a UK company that it would be trademarked there. If it is there is no record of it. Not in the U.S. database either. I know the U.S. has a common law trademark. Maybe the UK does also. It pisses me off when people say you can’t use x name because it’s trademarked. If you make such a statement then post the mark ID and link to the trademark search showing it to prove you actually own the mark.
Until then saying you can’t use x means squat.

Why does Firefox suck so bad? I don’t understand why it just consumes memory like a pig. I have tried everything. Uninstalled it, created new profiles, run it with no addons or extensions and it continues to eat memory up until the point where it becomes non-functional. I just installed Firefox 4 RC and guess what? It sucks memory like a pig too. It’s back to Internet Explorer for me.
